Default 2012 (62 plate) Mazda 6 - low oil pressure warning

Hello everyone.

My Mazda 6 has a low oil pressure warning that's appeared, it happened last week and i turned it off, got it towed to a garage and had a sump clean, filter replacement and oil drain, flush and re fill.

Cleared the problem up until today (~5 days later) Oil level has not risen since but the warning light is back on.

Car is 3.5 years old, fully mazda serviced with oil changed every ~6 months /6k miles.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas what it may be ? injector seals etc? Bit frustrating that as warranty ends i run into issues, had the rear calipers replaced on warranty literally on the last week i had it.

Absolutely love the car but this is not ideal, any help greatly welcomed.

There is something tapping on the back of my little brain about an oil pump or switch. Not at my 8-5 spot so I can't go digging for it. I do remember it was a rare problem so a recall or TSB of any sort was not issued.

Before you throw more dead end coin at it, take it into the dealer and plead your case with the District Service Manager rep. If you've taken the high level of maintaince as you claim, they may be able to help you out.

Had the error reset and now its fine.... for now. So i think you might be right about the switch, trying to book it into local dealership to get it sorted but i loathe going in, trying to be pushed into buying stuff i dont need.

Think i might just pay for a switch replacement and take anything else with a large pinch of salt.
