I just had a 2006 Mazda 6 given to me. It hasn’t been used in 4 years. It was only used to get it out of the way of a plow. Last it ran was last winter. I don’t know too much about cars, but i took this car to learn more about them. This car needs work, it doesn’t start, the battery is definitely shot. There is some rust underneath but not too too bad. The pinch welds are somewhat rusted, i used the jack in the back of the car To look under it in the print it held up just fine. However when i moved it to the back of the car i could hear creaking then the jack broke right through the pinch weld. I looked this up and there wasn’t too much about the pinch welds. Is this something i should be worried about or do I just need to use another spot to jack up the car with a different kind of jack? Any other tips would be great. There’s also mice living in it, although I don’t think they are in the passenger area.
