04 Mazda 6 cranking, not firing up after new alternator.
I was driving home the other night and both my low beams blew out and I had my battery light come on. I switched on the high beams and got home quick. I woke up the next day and it started up fine battery light still coming on so I had the battery and alternator tested. They said battery is good and the alternator is on the low end and probably on its way out. I went out today to go pick up the alternator and the car won't start. I finally got home with the alternator and replaced it. The starter will crank but the car will not fire up.
things I've tried. New plugs, New coil, checked the fuel pump it is fine. Also, I can roll start it and she is fine.. Thanks in advance. |
Did you disconnect the battery before touching the alternator?

Check the wiring to the starter motor, both the heavy battery feed & the small wire to the solenoid.
Also check ALL the fuses. |
Sounds like main power feading issue cables from the battery make sure you have good ground frame and engine
