Default '03 AC Problem

I just noticed last week I am unable to switch the air conditioning from "Outside Air" to "AC (circulated air)"

The LED above the Outside air is on, but when i push circulated air nothing happens.

The outside air is cold but not as cold as circulated would be. I called the dealer and to check for the problem is around ~$109. With summer coming i am nervous and dont want to fork up a lot.

Anyone else ever have this happen? Hopefully its small problem

I had a similar issue with Ford Windstar. There should be a baffle in the ducts that closes off the outside air and opens the inside air return duct. I am guessing that this baffle is operated by a little electrical motor unit that Ford calls "blend door actuator". You could call a parts store and ask if they have such a thing for your car. Or search google how to replace that beast. If you are lucky a connector has fallen off...
