Default Why no Sunroof on Diesel Models??

Does anyone have a satisfactory explanation for why the diesel models can't have a sunroof fitted as standard?

Neither does the petrol version, I have one on my 2.0 sport, but mine was the show room model and came with (paid for it though in the price) To be honest its pretty useless, it doesn't let any air in, and you end up putting the climate control on and closing it anyway. I wouldn't bother having it, I guess it might save you some MPG by not having the air con on but thats about it

Conventional sunroof's (sunrooves ?) seem to be less common on many cars these days. There are the cars with "panoramic" glass lids but I suppose the more and more common fitment of aircon is rendering them (in the eyes of the manufacturers) obsolete.

We gave up asking about 3 cars ago when we were quoted an additional 8 weeks(!) for delivery of a car with a sunroof.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. Is there any reason why the diesel models cannot have a sunroof AT ALL ? The option is not available for diesels, but my dealer could not let me know why not.
Sounds like I'm not missing much though!!

Can't think why not, the only difference is in the engine bay surely ??, does the sun glassses holder come as standard on the diesels, this is one reason why you can't have a sunroof if you have that ???
Mazda are rubbish, my car was supposed to come with auto headlights and rain sensing wipers according to the brochure, did it have any ??, did it hell!!!!

Well, yes, I do have the luxury of a sunglasses holder - it has raised many appreciative comments from passengers when they see me pop my sunglasses out of it!

I suppose every cloud has a silver lining - but I can't see the clouds as I don't have a sunroof!!
