Where is the PCV valve??!!
I have looked all over for it! I would rate my mechanical skill as above average. I'm not a mechanic or anything, but I can definitely fix/maintain my own vehicles without much trouble. I am doing a routine tune up on my wife's 2006 Mazda 5 Touring. However, I cannot find the PCV valve ANYWHERE on this car. I've searched online, and read where people said it is under the intake manifold? Is that right?
Where is it at? It probably doesn't even need replaced, but it's driving me so nuts now that I have to find it.
Thanks,
Jamie

i haven't ever seen them anywhere but in the valve cover. they generally either press or screw in. not sure why they would put one in the bottom of the intake manifold, but, as the people here constantly remind me, i am not an engineer.
go buy a new one and look on the vacuum tubing for a piece shaped like it. just a little plastic elbow, basically.
