Default Rear Ended by a Toyota Sequoia Tonight...

When I got out of the car to see the damage, I was surprised to see only a minor scratch on my bumper. Her bumper (quite abit higher than mine at standstill) was pushed down, and heavily scratched.
I'm not quite sure how this is- but, I was very pleased!

I still am surprised the trunk of my car didn't get bashed at all by her bumper - when you consider her vehicle sits so much taller.

I checked over my car thoroughly, and there is no damage to be seen.
The hatch is working, as well as the back doors, and the bumper from the sides look fine too.

Very happy....no damage.

Sorry to hear, but glad it turned out that way.
You should still have the car checked out professionally though. There could be unseen damage behind the bumper and to the substructure.
Just because the plastc cover deformed as it absorbed the impact and popped back doesn't mean the absorbing material behind wasn't damaged.
