Mazda5 Remote Starter Problem (2008 Mazda5)
I'll try to be brief as I'm posting this on behalf of my wife (the owner of the Mazda5 in question). The factory offered remote started for the 2008 Mazda 5 is installed in my wife's car and throws no error codes whatsoever. The main problem is that it never tries to crank the engine/starter motor. All directions and addenda have been followed, the necessary clicks, honks, flashes, etc. all occur short of the actual engine firing up. The programming of the remotes as well as the rev counter has taken place but to no avail.
Suggestions from any Mazda mechanics and/or owners who have experience in this area? It is starting to get cold out and given that my wife leaves for work before 6am (Biology Teacher), it would be nice to get this working asap.
Sincerely,
Eric
