mazda 5 engine compatilbe with mazda 3 engine

If you are referring to the 2.3 liter engine, they are identical as well as transmission and suspension. the spring rates are different between the two to accommodate the weight difference. I can only speculate that the ECU will plug right in as after market ECU's for the M3 are compatible with the M5.

here in the U.S. the Mazda 5 has the 2.3, in the U.K. and Japan there are different engine options. I'm not sure if the model year will make a difference, as long as it's the 2.3 it should be compatible. why do you want to swap?
