Hi, I am wondering if someone can help me to identify this part in my 2008 Mazda 4 Diesel. I was recently checking my oil and I noticed this loose fiberglass insulation that was ripped and falling off. It sits behind the engine area and below the windshield area when the hood is open. It seems like a heat protector or shield. Does anyone know what it actually does and why it's falling apart?? Age? Heat ? Anyway, where to get a new one and or ??
