would like to attempt this (2008 mazda 5), watched several videos on YT, looks like the 2 long bolts facing the front of the vehicle on either LCA would not have enough clearance. The solution is to loosen the side engine mount on the passenger side and the rear engine mount on the driver side and raise the engine up, is this the way to go or is there an easier way?
are these specs correct?
rear bushing bolts(the two facing the ground) = 75 ft/lb
front bolt = 120 ft/lb
cinch bolt = no spec. finger tight then another 1/4 turn
when replacing the sway bar bushing, partial unscrew the two LCA bolts blocking the bushing bolts, but do not completely unscrew them, you will have a hard time line up holes with the subframe. if you made the mistake of completely unscrewing them like i did, then jack up the control arm on the one side so the holes line up.
also, use right-angle socket attachment to reach the bolts behind
