My 57 reg Mazda 5 has just failed its MOT on a broken coil spring (This explains the metallic rattle I've had for a while). KwikFit want to charge me £420 for the fix. This seems to be at least double what I'd expect to pay, and they say that until they get in there they can't be sure it won't go even higher.


Anyone have a view on what this should be costing? Thanks

 

Buy the item yourself (ask them to provide a part number) and then get someone else to fit it ? Will be cheaper for sure
