Default Ground clearance

2012 Mazda 5 here. We keep scraping the bottom of the car everytime we go over a small bump. Just hate it, so much that we are considering a Forester!

Is it possible to raise the bottom of the car by a few inches with safety and warranty in tact?

Thanks

A 5 shouldn't be bottoming out over "small bumps". They have fairly generous ground clearance by modern car standards. Are you loading it up? How many miles are on it? 5s have notoriously flimsy suspension.

OK maybe I should have said it better. Not small bumps. We have a speed bump on top of our driveway. We have to go super slow /crawl over that bump to not to hit the bottom of the car. In general I noticed the bottom of the car is fairly low to the ground (maybe they changed during the years?).

You can get "spring helper/spacers", rubber rings that go on the coilovers that increases spring preload and ride height. But you are only going to get about an inch or so, any more and you start messing up the camber of the wheels. Going with bigger wheels and/or tires will also give more ground clearance too, but at the cost of effecting your speedometer and hurting mpg. There is no free lunch.

Foresters are nice BTW.
