Default Frozen sliding door not closing...

During the hard frosts that we have had recently the sliding doors on my Mazda5 will open but then will not latch close. We had to tie the door closed through the window with a scarf in order to be able to get home! Not the safest option when you have two small children in the back...

I see that in the US the Mazda5 was recalled for this very same problem in 2006. I will call Mazda tomorrow, but was interested if anyone else in the UK have had a similar problem?

Mine is a Mazda5 Sport (diesel) from 2006.

There was a recall in the UK too. Ours was done over a year ago I think. Contact your dealer. The rear silencer was also replaced under recall at the same time but I don't know if this was specific to the petrol model - we have a 2.0 Sport. The replacement had a chrome finisher and points toward the ground slightly whereas the original was plain and horizontal.
