Default Fob part number

Hello,

I've managed to loose the only fob I had for my 2008 Mazda 5 2.0 Diesel. I've bought spares off eBay before and re-programmed the car to them (like here) but neither of the two fobs I've bought this time have worked. With a bit more googling, it seems I need the exact same part number for otherwise identical-looking fobs. My question is, how can I find the right fob part number for my car?

Thanks a lot,
Adam

According to what i read, someone suggested if you should write down or take a picture of your cars vin number, then you can go to https://www.mazda-parts-dealer.com/ and stick your VIN to get the specifics for your car. Hopefully it helps. Good luck.

If you slide the key portion of the flip key off of the remote half of the flip key then look inside the part which faces the key part the numbers should be visible.

That site doesn't recognise my VIN for some reason

The problem is I only had one fob left & I've lost it, so I can't look for the part number on the actual fob :/
