Who has posted the best engine swap threads or video? I tried the search function but couldn't find much? Are there any specialty tools I need? Tia.

Ps car is a 2010 mazda 5 with bad engine knock. New engine is 2018 2.5 duratec with 31k miles from LKQ for 360.00. Wish me luck.

 

This swap also works for the Mazda 5, but the 2006-2007 5 has the same camshaft issue that your early Mazda 3 does - you need to use the older intake cam. I opted to buy a new one from Mazda since my donor engine had only 10K miles on it and I didnt want to try and swap the gear. I have done two of these swaps into Mazda 5s now and would definitely do it again. The intake adapter (available on ebay) is definitely worth the $60 it costs.
