I just got a 2012 5 and I was wondering if it was possible to import the parts needed to add the middle seat to make it a 7 seater. Any one have experience with this type of thing?

 

I may be wrong but I think you would have to buy the whole seat for the European model, as the seat back is all one piece, I can only assume that the mounting points are the same.

 

Any ideas on how to go about that? I've been looking for websites like http://www.mazdapartscenter.com/ in the UK but I haven't found on yet.

 

Also has anyone added power sliding doors? Either using OEM or after market parts?

 

I think the reason they don't offer the seven seater in the U.S. is for some safety regulation, it may be difficult to obtain for the states, will just have to shop around. maybe a dealership or part store in the UK may be able to help. as for the power doors, the 5 does not have that option that I'm aware of, i'm sure it's possible to be done but seems like it would take some time and money

 

The luxury pack available in the UK is leather and electric sliding doors. The LH opens with the key fob.
