5W 20 or 30 for 2009 Mazda5 Sport with 2.3L?
I recently bought a Mazda5 as I wanted a commuter that could take the kids in a pinch and still had a manual transmission. It definitely was a bit rusty on the bottom but I hope it doesn't effect the longevity of the car.
This is the American version, so I think it's a pretty common engine for Ford Vehicles too. Do any of you have a similar 2.3? It's asking for 5W-20... but in my experience, 5W-20 is just a gimmick to get your fuel mileage up. In a Chrysler I have, the 5W-20 would drip out and 5W-30 worked fine. Do you guys have an opinion?
Any other items I ought to watch out for to make this last? It is fun car. Thank you in advance!
