Default '12 Mazda5 GT Seat Heaters

Anyone else completely bothered by the GT's seat heaters that are either on or off. Even when you turn them on, they only heat for 5-10 minutes before they cycle off. They don't re-heat for ~15 minutes.

I'm wondering if anybody has ever tried to adapt the 5 level heating switches from the Mazda3? So much else is similar between the two cars, I wonder if the seat heater switch could be adapted. Google says the Mazda 3 switch is <60 bucks, may just have to give it a shot some day.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Matt

The winter in Toronto has been so warm I've never used the seat heaters, lol.

Default too hot

I wish they had an intermediate setting, like our Volvo did.

GT should stand for Grand Theft as in the theft of my money for poor upgrades.
