Default Windshield

so there i was 5.30am on rte 78, mindin my own business, headin to work, when bam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, a rather large rock(i think, never actually saw it)slammed into my windshield and left a little mark. about the size of a pinhead.
yes its small, but right in my line of sight for those times when I'm actually looking where I'm going.
sorta looks pulverized rather than cracked.
should i be concerned that it might spread if it gets wet and cold?
is something like this fixable?(beyond replacing the windshield at some point?)

If it's not cracking (read: spiderwebbing) then it will probably be fine. If it does have any cracks coming off of it then it's going to start spreading as the glass gets cold/hot during the winter when you're using your defroster. Check with some glass repair people in your area as they're generally pretty cheap to repair and they can do it quickly. If it does start to spread much then you'll need a new windshield.

Even if the repair isn't fantastic (i.e. there's still something you can see in the glass) at least you don't have to buy a whole new one.
