Default Window problems

This morning when i got to my car, I saw to my surprise that all four windows of my car were open. We had some lightning last night, but I am not sure that could be the problem. The doors were locked so that rules out the remote control I think, because if you push that button too long then the doors would have been opened too. So my question is if someone else ever had a problem with this, could this be a problem in the car or could it have happened by the lightning in some way. Everything was still working this morning too.

I have a remote starter on one of my cars, go to bed Friday night knowing the cars are all locked and safe. My wife gets up before me in the morning on Saturday to run some errands, and comes in to tell me my car is sitting in the driveway running. I had the keys in my pocket while I was working in the garage and I hit the start button. (I've had this happen a couple of times.)

Is there an "all windows down" sequence with your keyfob? You may have accidentally triggered this function without realizing it. (My 3 is all manual, so I don't know how those are programmed.)

Yes there is a all windows open function on my remote, but that is the same button as unluck the doors. But the doors were still locked. So then it should have opened the doors first, and then if you keep pushing it it opens the windows. And you have to keep pushing untill the windows are all opened up, so I don't think it was done by the remote.
Thanks anyway for your fast reply.

Is your all windows open function part of an aftermarket alarm? Just so you know if you unlock the doors on the car and don't open any of them within 30 seconds then they relock.

No the function is standard on the mps, this model has the advanced key function. Most times I don't even use the remote control, just the buttons located on the doors or the boot. Most times I keep the remote in my pocket. But I didn't think of the relock functionyet, so it might have been the remote you think. But you have to keep the button pushed untill the windows are all the way open, if you stop pushing the windows stop opening. So then the remote must have been pushed constantly for about 10 seconds in my pocket. But I made an appointment with my dealer, they're gonna check it up in the morning. I'll let you know if they find anything.

Interesting. What country are you in? The 3 in the US doesn't get the window control from the remote..... the 6 does however.

Well that boot part I got from the English manual that came with the advanced key, but now you write trunk I remember that word too now. My English is not great.
But at the dealer this morning they checked the system found no strange things, made a report for the future whenever someone else gets the same problem. Nobody else ever had apparantly. And they disabled the function after checking with me, because that is not a function that I would be using a lot anyway. Locking the windows with the remote sounds like a thing that could be usefull, but opening all windows with the remote [&:]. So no real solution to the problem yet only a way to work around it.
Thanks all

As I'd said, John, I'm just joking with you. Please do not be offended, not that you seem to be.
As we sometimes say in the states (slang) "I'm just messin' with ya'."
