Default What happened!

So my dad let me use his newish mazda3.Yes it does get 41 MPG.
No problems,i drive it,and put it into the garage, park it and walk away.(oh dad is in the hospital)so two weeks later i need to move the car and knothing. No click or anything.I hook up a charger.Couple days pass and i get a cheapy electrical tester and the needle bounces off the stops like its got plenty of juice. No switches found to be on.
Still knothing, not a click or a light on inside.
I did try calling mazda, they want to tow it to the nearest dealer about a hundred miles away,I would not have a ride to pick it up.So im here wondering if this problem rings any bells here.????
Oh,2012 with 19000 miles,like new.

Do you have someone that can jump it? Alot of times the charger connection isn't good. No lights is a flag that perhaps, if the charger connection is good, bad battery. I know its an 2012 19K ect. The real way to test is with a hydrometer, however not knowing where you are, remove the battery take it to get tested.

I well try my jumper box.I think the battery is very charged.Heck the key fob dosent even do anything. It seems more like the whole electrical system is disconnected from the battery.

What doe the cables on the battery look like, corroded or ok? If they are clean, tighten them could be a loose connection. I have a tribute that has "cheap" battery terminals.

With you cheap meter, put the + lead on the + battery post/cable. Take the - lead to a clean spot on the engine, not the battery, does it read? If so, can you open a fuse box, + lead to the/a + buss, the other to ground, is there voltage?

Default rubicks cube Mazda

I did what you said.It comes out the same either way.The meter reads 8 volts. If i take the cables off the battery it reads 12.Funny two days ago it would peg the meter when touching the battery posts bare.
Also whats odd is that Ive got nothing for power.I cant even get the door locks to do anything off the key fob thing.Turn the ignition, nothing.
Ive got one of those three position battery chargers on it,nothing happens even with it kicked onto 70 amps. The starting position.
It ran good right into the garage.after a long drive. My dad even has a heater going in the garage. Its not like anything had a chance to freeze.
He is sick so i dont want to tell him his car is dead. Its a head scratcher for sure.
I think ill end up having the Mazda road service tow it to the dealer. Its just so odd.Ive never had a car that i couldn't fix.I do consider that somehow something is maybe putting a drain on the battery. But with the charger hooked up it should crank,or have power inside.

The battery is feeding a short or a load, however it should still crank with jumper cables

Default well?

Even if you left any switches on.When you charge it for a few days and hook up the charger and turn on the charger/starter 70 amp switch the lights should come on inside the car or the FOB should work.
Well thanks for the replys.Im ending this here.I wish you all well with your Mazdas.
