Hello,

I have a 2008 mazdaspeed 3 with 2300 mi and i have seen that the water temp in my car is getting very hot (what the gauge shows).

It goes from 1/2 hot temp to 3/4 hot temp, up and down. I have tried not to get traffic but the same.

is it normal?

has anyone noticed it?

Temp. gauge shows just under the "half way" mark through all driving conditions (i.e. city, highway, a/c on or off). Take it to the dealer and advise them of the situation.

Possiblity of a faulty thermostat perhaps??

 

I agree with 1Funride. It 116 F here and my temp is just under 1/2 and thats with the A/C on. Some thing is wrong.

 

I took it to the dealer.

The problem is the Thermostat, so they are going to replace it.

Yep, sounds like a balky t-stat. Dealer time, since it probably won't get better on its own.
