Default vent visor / power window

I went to my local Truck Accessory shop and was talking about getting some in channel mazda vent visor for my Envoy this spring. The salesman said that if I had power windows that I should not get the in channel as that they might cause my window motor to burn out. Anyone ever hear of this?
Was he just feeding me a line of b.s.?
Thanks in advance. - minnie[/align]

Default RE: vent visor / power window

Possible. I have an '01 Durango as a 2nd vehicle which I installed in channel visors. Kind of wish I didn't get them now. Still may change them out. Problem is, as the window slides up, it is sharing a verytight channel with the visors creating some resistance. In time this will shorten the motors life. The channel is only sized to fit the window for a perfect fit for both water and sound proof as well as any unecessary rattles and shakes.

In short the salesman is correct to some respect. It's a chance you take for a cleaner, smoother, better looking setup.
