When I put my car in reverse or sometimes when I downshift, i hear a TING OR TINK, and was just wondering what it was? Anyone have an ideas??

 

My '04 made these noises going into reverse and sometimes into "D". If I remember correctly, Mazda had a recall back in '04 or '05 that addressed this issue. The dealer repaired/fixed the issue and the noise has not been heard.

 

i checked and there was no recalls on the 05
