Default Stereo Problem

Hey Guys,

I'm new here and hoping someone can give me some advice on how to fix my stereo.

I had my car in for the power stering recall about 2 weeks ago, took it to the Mazda right by my house and not to my normal dealership. I dropped my car off in perfect working order and when I picked it up after business hours at Mazda everything seemed fine untill I got home. When I turn my car off my stereo stays on. I physically have to push the off button now.

Of course I called the dealership back that next morning and they got me back in just this weekend but they said there's no way it was there fault and it must have been something I did to my car when I picked it up. The mechanic didn't even test a few things, he just sat in my passenger seat and looked at it for a bit and said "We're going to have to replace the whole deck as the electrical board is shot, and well thats not under warrenty.......".

Anyways long story short my stereo won't turn off and I don't think I need to replace the whole unit as of yet, I'm hoping there's someone out there that may be able to help me a bit more than the dealership.

Stereo works fine, turns off sometimes when the ignition is shut off but 95% of the time it does not.
