2009 M3 4cylinder. Stalls while driving! Will restart almost immediately. Dealer says fuel pump needs to be replaced. $800! Help?

 

help with? like other places to get a fuel pump or if there is another problem? wait an 09 that needs a fuel pump? that should be replaced under warrenty anyway

 

Thank you Tracker. And hola etcetera to all the street burners in Exton and Aberdeen. In my youthhood drifted around those places too! But, chillin' in China for the last 20 years or so. Warranty WAS in force. Now to see if the Mazda, Canada mounties can find the real problem...which, of course was the reason for the original "help." I've thought of everything from condensation to contact, fuel to filter to factory defect but can't "lay-hands-on." I will report back what was found.
