Default Speed3 transmission designation-what is it?

I'm going to use the DISI motor out of a MazdaSpeed3 for a project car. Believe it or not, the block is the same as the Ford Duratec 2.3 motor. HOWEVER, I need to know the transmission designation. Is it MTX? Other? Bottom line, is it the same as Ford's Duratec MTX transmission, thereby having the same mounts?

Any help would be appreciated!

From what I understand, Ford uses a few of the Mazda motors in there smaller cars, the 2.3 for one. Mazda makes 'em, Ford markets 'em. If you look on the block itself it has FOMOCO stamped on the bottom.

It is a manual transmission. That's all that the Speed3 comes in.

Yes, it is a 6-sp manual, but as far as designations is concerned, and I assume you are talking about model numbers, I don"t know if any of us can help you there. Call a Mazda dealer and ask for the parts counter.
Now the mounting points seem to be the same as the naturally aspirated 3 series, and I know for sure that the torque mounts will interchange. The other one isprobably beefier than in the NA, but in the same physical location.
