Default speed3 problem

I recently bought a 2007 mazdaspeed 3 with 9k miles on it. Within 2 days of when I bought it the gearbox would not work. I could not shift into any gear. I took it up to the dealer and they said it was the slave cylinder and clutch pressure plate that needed replaced. I went to pick it up and it has the same problem. Has anyone else had this problem on their speed3. I'm trying to figure out if the previous owner drove it like an idiot or the parts are a little less than perfect to begin with. Has anyone had to replace their clutch more than once with this car?

I have heard of this, and anyone who buys a Speed3 is liable to drive it like an idiot. What I would be even more concerned about is are the engine mounts still good. This too has been known to cause shifting problems in the Speed and it is a weak link.
Askyour dealerto check them out... or better yet, YOU check them out first.

There was some vibrations and rattles when the car would hit bumps which could mean the motor mounts but could it also mean that the linkage between the shifter and the transmission is bad which would also explain not being able to get it in gear?
