Default Shop Manual

Looking for source for OEM shop manuals. I am considering buying a 2016 Mazda 3, and think looking at the shop manual would help make up my mind. Would used manual for 14 or 15 be pretty close to what's need for 16? I say the following on ebay, which is a CD or DVD. 2013-2014 Mazda3 1.5L 2.0L 2.5L Service Repair OEM FACTORY Manual SkyActiv-G 3 I would prefer a printed manual if I buy the car. I am not interested in Chilton, Haynes, etc. They give you just enough info to get you into trouble.

Sounds like words of experience. '14 '15 would be almost exact in power train repairs but if you want year specific, ask the dealer parts dept. Truthfully, there is not a whole lot of things that go wrong to justify the expense of a shop manual. Mazda put all tech manuals on-line so now I'm wondering of a printed version is available.

I haven't seen a paper workshop manual released by Mazda since about 2004 or 2005.

There would be minimal changes between 2014 & 2016.

Yeah, The last paper manual I got was for 99 Escort that still runs well. Expensive new, but worth every penny you save on $80/hr repairs. I can do just about anything mechanical, except under the dashboard. About OEM vs aftermarket parts, now days new cars are essentially built with a lot of "aftermarket" parts. of course it's important to know the difference between quality and junk.
