first one is where it broke off from, and the second is the shift lever itself... the spring just went ahead and pushed my shift lever out right when i was leaving work to go onto lunch today... blows my mind... one of the lovely things about owning a mazda"speed"3 rather then the mazda 3 is the fact that every time something stupid happens on your car thats covered by the warranty, they have to call tech support... so wont have my car back for a lil... :-/

why you messing around with your shift lever? i would never do anything with that.

 

I'm a little confused after reading your post: Did the lever break off or come apart?
Have been doing naughty things w/your Speed, power shifting for example?
