Default Radio not working (mostly)

For 2006 Mazda 3 with Bose speakers:

A few months ago I was having issues with my battery where it would sometimes disconnect and one of the times it happened I heard a loud pop and my radio stopped working. I checked all the fuzes and they seem to be working, both under the hood and below the glovebox. The strange thing is that the LED display works fine, I can adjust AC and set the time, however I am unable to select FM/AM or any other media channels. Additionally, the buttons to change from clock to MPG for instance only work when the radio is "off", if I press the power button and see the lights flash indicating it turned on these buttons do not function. Any advice would be appreciated, I don't really know where to start hence why Ive been sitting on this for so long.
