Default Question regarding the Mazda3's backseat being cramped

A lot of car journalists, car enthusiasts and car reviewers found the backseat of the Mazda3 to be cramped. (Primarily the Gen4 models)

Some criticism includes:
"Turbo Mazda3 being small (especially in the back seats) is the big issue here, the car is great but it's not packaged to maximize interior volume and it shows."
"The back seat is its Achilles heal."
And US Car News said the Mazda3 had a "cramped rear row".

So I am wondering about this. I have a 2022 Mazda3 Turbo Premium Plus Sedan and had no issues in the backseat. I adjusted my driver's seat to my desired position, sat in the back and felt fine in the back. I am 5'10, which made the comments kind of interesting. I transported other people in the backseats and they never complained. Sure, I might not take my Mazda on a road trip, but on short journeys, my family and I were fine.

So, are the comments talking about the hatchback, the sedan or both?
