And could you imagine the sound of a V8 coming out of his car? Just take off the stock muffler and leave the resonator on............oh god.

lmao, if i ever saw you man and you did that, i would so flame on you. but seriously, cut out some actual window tint, or ebay tail light tint to fit the tails. you could even open your tails and paint them, if your into that kind of thing.
Unlike the headlights, the tails are permanently sealed. I wanted to build/modify mine into LED tails but they only way to get into them is break the clear outer lens cover.

what about dremeling them open? im sure someone with a steady hand could get them open. the only problem i would see with that is getting them back together without them falling apart or fogging up. do you think its doable at all with this ridiculous method?

Doable? Perhaps, but risky. Like you said, getting them back together and sealed is a gamble. They appear to be plwastic welded from the factory. Plastic weld is usually stronger thanhe plastic being put together.
My OE"s are $150 ea. on the AM.More from Mazda... $250 ea, IIRC.I ain"t got that kinda" money to spend on a mistake.

Bob, that's just plain stupid. Ricing is one thing to customize the look (not that I'm into it) but, putting badges on a vehicle from a different one is just plain stupid. A few months back I saw a Durango with a BMW emblem stuck to the back. That's stupid. Who are you kidding? Oh, did I say it's stupid?
