Default RE: part list want feed back about my choices

ok a few questions *ahem*
1. This speed limiter remover chip...is it from ebay, if not who is it made by, if it is from ebay DONT buy it
2. What exactly makes a battery a "racing" battery?
3. The racing chip from Venom...are you sure its compatable with the 3?
4. Who makes the head gasket?
5. Who makes the throttle body?
6. How about a turbokit (bolt-on)?
7. Suspension upgrades?
8. I hope you dont plan on making the car a daily driver with all of this stuff in it cuz you wont pass emissions
9. Things like the racing headers and racing muffler are illegal anywhere but the track, you do know that right, if your caught then its bye-bye to your car
10. Why have an k&n cai but then turn around and put on a aem filter?
11. How about things like a oil psi guages and volt guages?
12. Lightweight rims, maybe?
13. Fuel rail and fuel pump would be nice
14. Lightweight seats is also good
15. If you do get a turbo you NEED a turbo timer
16. Have thought who gonna put all this stuff in, and whos gonna tune it?
17. Hi-flow cat is needed (bolt-on)
18. How big is your exhaust gonna be (needs to be atleast 3in for any forced induction)

All i got

tracker, you are on top of this one bro! i just want to add

1. how big is your throttle body going to be and how are you going to adjust it so that you don't throw CELs or bogg out from too much air flow?

and yes, brands are very important as well as universability (fitting your car).

Default thx

1.I cant find the speed remover chip but wouldn’t the venom take care of that any ways
2. The venom chip is most def compatible with the 3
3.Srry about the “racing battery†thing I new to the tuning scene and I was pretty sure that with high voltage every thing else you needed a high voltage battery
4.If I didn’t put the brand of the part that is cause I have not found the specific part yet
5.I don’t want to strap on a turbo, super charger or NOS because it puts pretty hard strain on the engine cutting the life time of the car
6.I did not list the suspension I am looking for a good package
7.Once again I am new to the tuner scene but wouldn’t a good catalyst converter take care of the emissions problem
8. They weren’t really “racing “ parts they are just “high performance†meaning they are street legal
9. The K&N is a special part it can be a CAI or a SRI plus aren’t AEM filters better for performance than K&N the AEM should fit on the end of the intake shouldn’t it (once again I am new this is why I posted)
10.The exhaust is 3.5 inches in Diameter
11.what would gauges help on performance
12. There are several car garages in town one did a real nice job on my cousins car (escort ) it was the fastest car in town till a $#@%ing idiot total him as he was sitting at a stop light
13. I don’t know I may strap on a super charger (because you can decide when it engages during a race ) but still not sure

14.Thx for the tips man

Default RE: thx

ok your off to a good start, but:

1. There is no such thing as a speed limit remover chip that only cost $50
2. There is no know company that makes a throttle body, head gaskets, racing retainers for the 3 yet
3. A aem filter may not fit the k&n intake so just go k&n all the way
4. I looked all though the Venom performence website and found no parts for any Mazda, so i recommend the Hiboost Engine Managment system, besides one of these already gives you the option to remove the speed limiter
5. I know your new to the tuning but there is a diff between "racing" parts and "high performence" parts
6. Of course guages dont dont add to the performence aspect, but there purpose is so you can monitor your air/fuel ratio, oil psi, and things like that. so they would be a great help if all of that stuff is added
7. Your right any forced induction reduces the life of any car thats why most people put on turbos or superchargers, way later in the motors life, but forced induction is not the only thing that sucks life from your engine, anything you so shortens the life of your engine, but its how well you keep it mantained that prolongs the life of your engine.
8. A new high voltage battery and altenator is good, they are know to increase throttle response, i suggest a yellow top optima battery, and a duralast altenator
9. All catalatic convertors makes you fail your emissions test thats why its better to have a bolt-on so before you take your test take it off and put the stock one back on
10. A 3.5in exhaust is WAY too big for any car that does not have a forced induction application in it, 2.5in is the best if your car is not turbocharged or whatever, you go 3in if you are charged, any bigger then that you must either have a truck or a track vehicle.
11. The only car that has the ability to turn on or off a supercharger, is a car like the new Mercades-benz, which uses a pedal that you hold down
12. Although escorts are junk i have seen a few good ones in my time (2)
13. TIEN coil-overs are great
14. What garage did your cousin go to?

its also called i wish it was that simple, from what ive heard there is no wire to cut to remove the limiter, its programmed into the ECU, so you have to use a EMS to either change or remove it.

1.I was pretty sure I saw head gasket, a venom chip and retainers but ok maybe it was for the 323
2.I am with you on the air filter
3.Can you give me a link to the hi-boost engine management
4.I am not sure what you meant on the catalatic converter I thought they are the filter before the air goes out of the muffler
-----o-------o
pipe cat pipe muffler
5.I am certain older cars with super chargers like the ones my dad worked on in high school and college had a switch or a button you could use to engage the super charger
6. Can a exhaust be to big because I found a nice cat back mandrel bent 3.5 inch exhaust for a 3 pretty cheap too
7.the garage my cousin went to was just a privately owned local one if not that i could give my dad a few bucks and hell help me out
