I used to get my oil changed for my 2010 Mazda3 every couple months. Recently, the place I go to recommended an oil change only a month after. Is this place ripping me off? How often does everyone else get their oil changed?

 

I run full synthetic, replace filter at 7,500 miles, both at 15000 miles.

 

Depends on how much mileage you put on and regular oil or synthetic.
I put on 10,000 km a year and try to get it changed twice/year with synthetic oil
Recently I drove it 180 km/hr - can't do that sh.ite with dirty oil!

 

If you're really curious then get a sample of your oil and send it off to blackstone labs to have an oil analysis done.

Unless you're driving a crap load then I doubt you need to go every month.
