Default OEM Wheels...

Hey All...I am new to this forum and was looking for some insight.

I just purchased my daughter a 2006 Mazda3 and would like to replace the "plastic hub caps" that are currently on it with something a little nicer...like the alloy wheels that they usually put on them at the factory.

If anyone could point me in the direction of a good place to buy (new or used) these wheels, I would apprecite it very much!

Thank you for your time...

If you are just looking to make it a little nicer and cleaner looking then I wouldnt spend the money on OEM rims. The factory rims are going to come at a premium price as they are only sold to and through Mazda dealers or available from people who have swapped them off of their cars already. Your best bet would be to take a look at a website like http://www.tirerack.com. They often have good deals that include tires and wheels together, pre-mounted and balanced ready for install. Also, you check your local tire shops. You will usually find basic, but nice looking, alloy wheels will be around $100 a piece, maybe a little more, and tires should be about the same depending on size. Best of luck!!

Check out Ebay and look on www.Craigslist.org, I have seen complete sets of Stock Alloys go locally on craigslist for $200 with the tires.
Another place to look is your local Wrecking yards.

Also bear in mind that the OEM wheels are pretty heavy, and many aftermarket wheels are much lighter. While I like the style of the OEM wheels (at least the older 5-spoke ones) weight savings are always nice.
