Default No heat?

Newbie here...

Just picked up a used 2015 Mazda 3 with 35K miles.

I went to put on defrost/heat, only COLD air.

I checked the heater core hoses and both are warm.

What gives??

Defrost kicks on the A/C, try just using the heat without Defrost mode.

I tried every setting there is.
@ feet

I even tried recirc'd air to no avail.

Isn't a 2015 still under warranty?

I bought it used from a small car dealership.

It has a Rebuilt Title due to a rear fender bender.

I'm thinking it's a state-by-state thing as to whether manufacturers have to honor the original warranty if the "rebuilt" section of the car has nothing to do with the repair being requested. Have you checked to see if Wisconsin is a state which requires manufacturers to honor the warranty?

Not yet, but I'll call a Mazda dealer and have them run my VIN to see if I have any warrany.
I removed the glovebox and checked the cable system,
they move freely, so now I'm thinking it's in the engine bay??

Everything related to the heater is within the dashboard.

Can you see the heater core flap move while someone adjusts the heat dial?
