Default New to owning a Mazda 3

The missus has just purchased one of these a 57 plate 1.6 diesel version with 90,000 miles. Not my thing(il stick to me battered old astra) but she likes it. Just wondering of ****les to watch out for or any hints/tips. Also wondering of any decent idependant Mazda garages or garages that know these cars quite well around the basingstoke area or any forum members in the area who dabble in the maintence side of them. Any info greatly received

Quick Google search says 57 plate is late 2007 or early 2008 BK Mazda 3? Yes?

Correct & on-time servicing is critical. Please only use JASO DL1 spec engine oil eg Genuine Mazda DL1 oil. Don't skimp on servicing. Short trips are very bad for the engine & the DPF. These are definitely not a inner city car. They need a good long drive every couple of weeks for DPF longevity.
