It could be the clutch throwout bearing taking a dump?
It could also be the clutch disk center coming apart. e.g. Perhaps a take-up spring is loose, or has rotated?
But you don't really say at what point during the shift you hear the noise.

i appreciate your quick response.. i do think i need to rephrase a couple things..

the squealing / chirp does happen occasionally when shifting through the gear as i accelerate... once in gear just maintaining a constant speed the chirp would happen again.. this happens at random speeds...

the quick chirp sounds like its coming from the right front tire or possibly the engine bay.. its just impossible for me spot while driving.

i wasnt sure if anyone would know the cause.

thanks again

It's possible it's one of the belts as well. It could be if you're turning or accelerating while driving that the engine is shifting on it's mounts as it torques and the belts are squeaking somewhat. See if you can get it to reproduce at will by reving.

Somewhere else a guy had an issue with a chirp and found that a nut on a suspension control arm needed tightening. Can you produce the chirp while shaking the car? Open the door and use it for leverage.
