Default My AUX quit!

Last night my aux quit working. I've been reading that there have been other stereo problems, but mine was actually working fine until yesterday. I thought the cord might of gone bad, but I bought a new 3.5mm cord and it still doesn't work. I even tried another Ipod but no luck. I have a 2007 GTS with the aux in the center console. Anyone else having this problem?

It's possible that the ACI cable in the back of the HU became unseated. I suggest pulling the HU (a matter of about 2 minutes), unplugging the cable and plugging it back in.

Can you give a quick "how to"? I've never really messed with it and my wife will kill me if I screw her car up.

Here is a link to the Service Manual http://www.thaimazda3.com/svmanual/
But basically you open the glove compartment, and pull the trim piece above it off gently, then remove the 2 screws holding the radio in and I removed the 2 screws that hold the center of the dash down, it made it easier to pull the radio out and then pull the radio out and you will have 3 plugs on the back of it and then reverse.

Also look HERE for a pretty good one on M3F.

The one thing I'd add to that is the right hand side of the dash strip has a hook on it so don't pull straight back on it. Release the clips between the LCD and the far right and then gently flex the strip to release the hook. Alternately release all the tension clips and then slide the hook free.

Default 2007 - warranty

Easier still.

Take it to the dealer.

Long as you have warranty.

While letting the dealer take care of things during the warranty is fine and dandy "easier" is a relative term. It's easier to me to spend five minutes pulling the HU to check a plug rather than making a trip to the dealer (esp. with my son in tow) sitting there until they look at it and then driving home.

Problem fixed, pulled the HU, reset it, and all better. Took five minutes. Thanks ICSPOTS
