What price range do you think it will be in. 25,000 to 28,000. I could afford 24 or 25! The Mazdapeed 6 is around 28,000 to 32,000 right? The 3 should be a little bit cheaper. But it is much lighter then the 6. It should have some good speed!

 

Looks like it should be a pretty awesome car. Probably better than the Mazda6 performance-wise. I'd say it will be at least 22-23 thousand for a base model. Still not a bad deal depending on what they decide to include standard on the base model.

It says the Mazda6 is AWD, not the Mazda3.. look at the title: "We anticipate that Mazdas hotrod 3 will have more than 250 hp from its turbo four. It's also going to be front-wheel drive. We're bracing ourselves for the torque-steer."

Which, unless they put at least a good limited-slip diff in the front, then it'l prolly have some pretty bad torque-steer.. which isn't cool.

 

i like the front grill on that, but I dont like the 5-door model, it should be a 4-door, it would weigh less, and in my opinion the 4-door is a better looking car. i do think that they should have either made it AWD or RWD at least, not front, a car with that much torque should not be driven by the front wheels.

 

ahh. ok i didnt read it that much, I skimmed through it. Yeah torque steer is going to be bad. My stock 2.3 Mazda 6 has a little torque steer. I can't imagine what this car will have. But it should be fun.

 

FWD cars shouldn't have more than 250 hp...unless you want to end up wrapped around a tree.

 

part of being able to drive on the road is knowing your limits. you can have beastily torque but in order to control that, you will have to weigh down the front end of your vehicle on a fwd car. that would just be common sense. if you have too much torque, you will slowly increase your speed instead of romping on the gas right away. once you get rolling, you can wail on your car without worrying too much about losing control.

 

Id wish you told that to the guy driving the Camaro Sunday, the guy who did the countdown for the race almost had his leg taken off. And btw id actually get the new Mazdaspeed 6

 

There is an article in the August 2005 Car and Driver that said it should be around $25,000 and have a six speed manual and mazda's active torque split all wheel drive and should arrive late 06 early07. It should have awd or rwd because too much power shouldn't be going to the wheel that steers the car.

 

i do agree that it should be RWD or AWD but front wheel drive is acceptable, but expect alot of 16 yr old crashing them.....mmmmm cheap mazdaspeed 3 parts, its delicious......
