Mazda3 Offered in both a sedan and wagon, this sporty model offers a great car for the family, as well a fun track car.

Mazda3 or Mazda6?

I agree with Richard. Get the 3. I as well have driven an automatic 2.0L Mazda3 and driven an automatic 2.3L Mazda6. I wasn't happy with how slow the 6 was... though it does offer a nice ride.

I'd say get the 3.

The 3 is certainly a little sportier and generally targeted for the younger crowd. ([I]No smart-assed old man comments directed toward Ken or me please.)[I]
The 6 is a very nice overall car too. I liked the two I have driven though I would make a few changes if they had been mine. It's goals are a bit different of course and it's more upscale w/a softer more mature feel and an initial cost to match.
Since they were both rental cars they will be automatics, but the 3 with it's peppy 2.0L will afford better mileage and a sportier drive than the 6 w/the 2.3L and a softer, heavier ride.

Yup, you are getting good advice from all of us here. Get the 3.

yep see old people drive them too. and modify them.. rich is 50 years old and drives a modified mazda3 woohoo. lol

I turned 70 last month, and bought my 3 Hatchback last may.
That, along with my Dakota R/T are not the usual vehicles you see and older person owning.
I have always owned vehicles that a much younger person would have.
I never felt that age should determine what you drive.
Both the 3 and the R/T turn heads all the time.
The other "toy is also in the picture with the R/T.
As for modifying the 3, I don't think so, unless I win a lottery.
Then it's headed to the body shop to have the roof chopped like the red one I posted in another thread but, that only happens IF I win a lottery.
My suggestion would be, go for the 3, you won't be sorry.
It is a fun vehicle to own and drive.

Bob.

Nah you spent yours on a silly subwoofer instead of, I don't know, something USEFUL...like springs and shocks. Or at least an exhaust.
