Mazda3 - Air Conditioning - Stopped Working
All-
I have a Mazda3 that the AC has stopped working. When the light comes on in the dash when the button is pressed, no fuses appear to be blown, but the clutch doesn't appear to be engaging for the AC compressor.
I have been trying to find an electrical diagram so I can test along the way, to no avail.
Does anybody know if AC problems will be logged as DTC codes? If so, will a generic OBD-II reader catch them?
Thanks

you should go to a dealership and see if there are any recalls on that, if your cel light is on then a OBD2 code reader should be able to pick up the problem. Im not that familiar with A/C systems yet so my suggestions are limited

All-
Thanks for your replies.
I don't have refrigerant pressure gauges, so it is hard to diagnose that.
Agreed- no/low refrigerant will cause the system to not work (or blow warm air), but does anybody know if this will cause a DTC code?
A/C relay appears to be OK (swapped with a different relay, and no change).
The A/C light illuminates when the button is pressed, but as mentioned, no compressor.
So, I am trying to figure out if it is electrical or mechanical or refrigerant.
I am hesitant to bring to a shop until I have a good understanding of the problem, mostly because I am jaded (this problem seemed to start after car was brought in to a dealer to replace the tube that the gear selector passes from cabin to engine compartment or in other words, they had the dash somewhat apart).
