I saw the GPS unit itself on Ebay and they have an aftermarket Screen on there also.
Here is one from a 04 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ORIGI...QQcmdZViewItem

I have to play devil's advocate and suggest that you seriously put some thought into considering a portable GPS unit, such as the Garmin Nüvi (I have the 660 model, which works brilliantly!). The current OEM units developed for Mazda unfortunately do not perform as well as those developed for other automakers (Acura's OEM units are among the best offered). Even sales reps at my local Mazda dealer say that they order as few vehicles as possible that are equipped with the stock GPS units because they are familiar with the poor performance and negative feedback from their customers. I'm guessing Mazda is under contract to sell a certain quantity of this particular GPS unit, which may explain why an improved unit has not yet been offered. I'll concede that the OEM unit looks sleek due to customization (I love how the screen, when folded down, is barely detectable on the dash), but that's about the only advantage I see. A portable unit goes with you from vehicle to vehicle, will likely have better resolution, offer more features, and is simpler to upgrade. Don't rush with your decision... research, research, research... good luck!

Save yourself some money and get a portable GPS unit. I felt it would be a rip off paying $1,200 for GPS when I can spend $300 for a great portable (i.e. my Garmin Nuvi) IMO.
