Mazda 3 hedlight adjustment mechanism does not work
Does anybody happen to have any tip for fixing mazda 3 headlight adjustment mechanism? The left light of my mazda 3 is currently aimed too high and because of that it won't pass the inspection. The aiming just doesn't change by turning the screws. I heard that a whole new mechanism would cost ~400€, so if somebody has alternative suggestion to fix this, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I had a similar problem with my wife's Ford Contour (same as Mondeo). There was a jack nut which had a stripped thread. I got a headlight from the junk yard.
The Mazda 3 headlight seems a bit different: https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/i...yZ0GG8y4hJZp11 depending on the model year: http://www.justanswer.com/uploads/lo...eadlight_3.png It seems the screw driver itself works as a cog. If that is the case make sure you have the proper kind and size of screw driver. I hope this helps. |
