Mazda 3 hatchback 2.0 Skyactiv-X 186 or 2.5 Skyactiv-G 140?
Hi
Yesterday i went to a local dealer in the city where I live (i'm from Belgium).
He made me 2 offers for a new Mazda 3 hatchback.
Here we can choose between the 2.0 Skyactiv-X 186 hp or
the 2.5 Skyactiv-G 140 hp.
The 2.0 is more expensive to purchase (2000 €), while the 2.5 will cost more in annual road tax (225 €). I only buy a new car every 10-15 years and don't do a lot of miles/kilometers at all.
I don't know the differences between the two types of engines.
I'd like to hear your suggestions

The 2.0 while being more expensive, will be more fun to drive. Besides the 186 vs 140 horsepower the suspension is probably upgraded too. You'll enjoy driving it, and since the yearly tax is less, paying the extra 2000 up front will be cheaper if you're going to keep it 10 years or more.
