it just happens that i was online, and saw the posts. i read the wiki article when i was considering the 3 and the scion tc, remembered it very well. the other mazda i have is a 2000 mpv, which has a ford engine in it. that was the industry 1st with roll-down midrow windows and completely-disapearing-when-fold-down 3rd row seats. still love the mpv. too bad that mazda does not have a loyalty reward.

so the 2.3l engine that i have does not have VVT? it is only available in the mazda 6? Is that true? I thought thats what I read...let me know folks!

you are mistaken. the 2.3 liter engine does have vvt...aka...v-spec.

when i bought my 2007 2.3l mazda 3 it said on the sticker that 95% of the car was composed of japanese made parts and only 5% were american/canada. Anyone know what the 5% is?
