hey guys this question is directed mainly to the mps owners on here. i dont own an mps i have a mazda 3 phase one sport 2.0l

I wanted to mirror polish my rocker cover but i went to do it yesterday and realised that it is plastic.

now i have seen a fair few mps owners have mirror polished there rocker cover.

so here is my question is the mps rocker cover the same as the mazda 3 sport 2.0l phase one because i have looked at pics and they look the same. but i dont want to buy one if they are different.

The valve cover is plastic and that polished look is from a metallic paint job.

 

Some of the very early 2.0 ltr Mazda 6, & maybe Mazda 3's had alloy rocker covers.
( without VVT, from memory LFDE vs LFVE)

The black plastic rocker cover car hasn't got variable valve timing.

Please note, Im from New Zealand, and only going by my experiences on NZ spec & Japanese imports.

 

If it's a daily driver, this is a useless task. No one will see it except for your mechanic, and it will get dirty.
Spend your time and money elsewhere on performance, handling, exterior or interior.
