Lights will not turn off
Hi all,
I need some advice on what might be going on with my 2007 Mazda 3. Today I remote started my car and when I went to my car and put the key to the ON position, pressed on the brake and put the car in drive the lights did not turn off like they usually do. I noticed the dash lights were on while I was still driving and would not turn off when I flickered the lights on and off. The battery is currently unplugged so my battery doesn't drain. The lights that will not turn off are: the turn signals in the front, the tailights, and the red dashlight.
I do have a remote start, alarm and key less entry that were all previously installed by the previous owner, however I have never had an issue with any of these things over the last few years.
Anyone have an idea of what might be causing my lights to stay on?

While driving they should be left on. There are a few circumstances where you want them off.
Driving through a Christmas lights display is one. Waiting for your kids to get out of a late activity and you want heat is another.
You can turn off the lights on new Mazda3 in two ways worth trying. I can turn the light switch from the auto down to off and they all go off. You can also go into the infotainment system setup menu and turn off the DRLs.
I think my old Mazda3 had the menu option as well and that should also be the case in your CX-5.
